The Weninger's - November 2011 - Vancouver Family Photographer

I choose to call myself a natural light photographer. I love the look of the sunshine or the light of the outdoors and nature while shooting portraits, however, every once and awhile I get to go inside and do what I did for Erin, John, Allie, Taryn & Izzy. The warmth of their home, the snuggles on the couch, the feeling of family is sometimes just as perfect inside than anywhere else. That's just what we had last weekend. Here are some of my favs :)

On a run with posts today!! This session was so much fun! Last year I took photos of these beautiful young girls, but this year I was lucky enough to take pics of the whole family! Its no wonder why they are so gorgeous, just look at mom! I've never met a family that has so much fun together, so many laughs, they had me going too!

The Tabaka's - November 2011 - Lower Mainland Family Photographer

Catching up on blogposts today and this session is one definitely not to be forgotten. The Tabaka's are my childhood family. The house I would run to before the sun went down and we had to come in for the night, the place where I would talk about boys and giggle all night while being threatened to be separated at sleep overs, a place I called a second home growing up. As time went on and we all grew up, I am so thankful to say that I still love this family and consider them some of my own. When asked to do this photo shoot it wasn't like the others, the purpose to get family photos was not just a Christmas request, or a family session that no one really wanted to do. This session was for love. Love for a wife, a mother, a grandmother . . .Love for Jackie. Jackie was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer after over a year struggling with health challenges. Given only a short time with her family, this session was to show her how much she is loved and to give her family the memories that they will cherish. I only see love in these images . . . .

Caelyn & Taylor - September 2011 - Lower Mainland Newborn & Child Photographer

Last weekend I was reacquainted with my long lost cousin Courtney. Ok, well neither of us were lost, but it had been many years since we have seen each other and I was so thrilled when she asked if I would come and photograph her beautiful daughters. Caelyn was a doll! This 2 year old is full of spice and life! After some fun with her, we took some time with the newest of the family, Caelyn, less than 2 weeks old!! Here are these cuties!

The Wootton's - September 2011

Luck was on our side when the rain stopped for a small time this weekend to get this family session! It was so much fun and even more special because I started shooting this family (and made good friends) when Karolyn and Stephan were pregnant with their first - Zane! Now Piper just had her 1st birthday so we took advantage of the special occasion to capture this little princess and her family!

This week I had the pure joy of taking the very 1st family photos of a beautiful and sweet family of 3. The newest addition was only brought into the world 11 days before, but he was definitely wide eyed and curious! I loved the snuggles from this little man!

Daniela & Dean - August 27, 2011 - Vancouver Wedding Photographer

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Dean & Daniela here in Vancouver (for a change!) at the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park. The evening wedding was simple and sweet with close family and friends there to cheer on the newlyweds! Meagan & Bob - August 2011 - Vancouver Island Wedding Photographer

A little late on the post but last month I had the pleasure of shooting for my favorite second shooter Lindsay of Lindsay Mitchell Photography! I had a blast second shooting for her and spending time with this awesome couple! We trekked out to East Sooke Park on Vancouver Island for a sunshiny ceremony and lots of laughs in the fields! I spent time with the boys prior to the ceremony and loved every second of their humor! It was a gorgeous day and a beautiful trip to the island! Congratulations Meagan & Bob!

The wedding took place at Lost Lake in Whistler which was a stunning location! The reception in Langley at a beautiful home! We had a lot of laughs and saw a lot of love! Aurea & the kids - Vancouver Nanny Photographer

When a friend and past client contacted me for a shoot a year after their first family session, I was thrilled. What was even more exciting was how thoughtful she was to be putting together this shoot for her beloved nanny! Aurea has been looking after Benjamin, who has grown like a weed since I shot them last year, and another adorable little girl for the past year, and now she was moving on to go back to school. As a special thank you, the mom's put together a special session for Aurea to have pics of her two adorable kiddies. It was entertaining watching these kids run for dear life around the park, sing songs and play games, but also to see how taken they were with Aurea, their nanny, that they evidently love so much.





No doubt your fun nature will be missed by these two Aurea! Thanks for letting me capture these moments!
