Last weekend was the annual Shorefest Whistler event put on by Shore 104.3fm. Contest winners and other participants who managed to purchase tickets were lucky enough to enjoy an intimate night of great music headlined by Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo. But before Jim hit the stage, his pick from Shore's Song Search 2011, The Matinee, got everyone in the mood with some great tunes. And to warm up the crowd with his smooth voice and melodic guitar and harmonica was the Shore's very own Gord Rutherford who hosts the Drive Show every afternoon.
Yesterday I fell in love. Yep, sorry Billy, I met another man who stole my heart and his name is Nolan. He's a little younger, 4 months to be exact, but those eyes could melt anyone's heart! That was pretty obvious with his mom and dad, Courtney & Evan, too! First family photos for this beautiful trio and I was so excited to be a part of it (and get some snuggles!)
Thanks so much for sharing a very special, sunshiny day with me!
As mentioned in the Trash the Dress session (below), I was originally doing another shoot before we took off to the waterfall wedding dress in hand :) The original shoot was a boudoir session that was sexy, scandalous and fun! With approval from my model, check out these hot images!
So there I was, having a nice visit with a friend, taking some photos etc, when all of a sudden she says "I have my wedding dress, want to go take it in the mud?" As you can imagine I was jumping for joy, but as usual plans changed and we opted for a waterfall for this session! We had a blast (despite the freezing water), and Courtney looked like a princess! (Trying a new blog layout today too . . .)
Today the sun came out and light shone in the windows just in time for my fantastic session with Rachel, Colin, and soon to be baby Nicola. With the downtown modern vibe of their apartment we were able to capture some beautiful and natural images, and then carry on into their gardens for some spring time warmth! Here are some of my favs from the day.
Love was the immediate theme for these two
I love love love this image
and they have a waterfall in their back yard!
you can almost feel the warmth of the sun here . . .
Thanks so much for a fun session! It is obvious how much your baby will be loved! Congratulations!
This past weekend I got a repeat! 2 weekends in a row, I was lucky enough to take photos of Dan, Alex & their beautiful boys, however this extra shoot was a little extended! This shoot they decided to have Dan's sister Tracey and her family come and join the session for an upcoming mother's day gift (hopefully she won't see this blog!!), and then we were able to get some individual family stuff too. Here is the sneak peak of the day!
This morning I was lucky enough to get in some baby snuggles, oh, and take some photos of the new addition to Alex, Dan & Carson's family. At just 3 weeks old, Tyler posed for the camera like a pro ;) Here is their sneak peak!
I love how little boys always start off looking like cute little old men :)
The best hat! :)
Family feet and hands!
Big brother Carson loves to hold his baby brother!
Do you think he's relaxed in momma's arms??
Good work mom and dad!!! Congrats on an amazing little family!
